Listening Course #4

Hi!!


At this listening course meeting, we did not have a meeting. This is because last Thursday, to be precise March 11, 2021, was the Isra Mi'raj holiday. So we just filled out the absences according to the schedule and then did the assignments in Syam-ok. The task is also almost the same as the previous tasks, namely listening to the audio and then working on the available quizzes. On this blog, I am not only discussing listening lessons but also about my activities until I upload this blog. The next day because I didn't have a class schedule, and it happened to be a weekend, my friend invited me to go out for a walk. We went to one of the most famous tourist objects in my village, namely Mentirotiku, Batutumonga located in North Toraja. Up there we can see a beautiful view where in the morning we feel like above the clouds and we can also see a beautiful city view at night.


Then at the meeting on Monday, in one of our courses, it happened that my group took part, but because our lecturer was doing an examination with a doctor, the lecturer gave us the mandate to be orderly in the learning process. During the session we felt something was missing because our lecturers did not take part in filling our vacancies. And also I got a little problem because the network at that time was not very supportive. Fortunately, my group can be said to be fast in solving our problems so that the chaos that occurs can be resolved. At the listening meeting it was almost the same as this. I had difficulty accessing Syam-ok before, this was because my network was not supported, as a result I went to my cousin's house who happened to use wifi to do my assignment.

Where we reviewed two books that we had previously listed in the Whatsapp group. Hi! At this meeting, we learned about Preview & predicting material. This is an important skill for a good reader. Preview occurs when we gather information about a book by examining the cover of the book. The purpose of this preview is to help us in predicting the contents of the book. In addition, previewing and predicting can make quite a significant difference. We can get an idea of what we are going to read, so we can process the information quickly. In this learning material, we are also directed to search for a book and then find out the contents of the book from its cover, and look for information about the title, author, and other important information. We also create podcasts with our podcast material derived from information from the books we read. We are also doing some exercises in Syam-ok on this material.
