Weekly Journal Activity #2

In This week, the activities  we conducted a quiz orally via online, doing assignments given by each lecturer, conducting the online lecture process, using applications or application systems such as zoom, google meet, google classroom, whatsapp group, telegram and syam-ok.
Of course there are obstacles that we experience, for example our connection internet is not good and difficulties in using applications, such as syam-ok.
The way we handle it is by trying to find a place or location with a smooth internet connection so that we can follow the lecture process without any obstacles, the second one understands how to use the application, for example syam-ok, you can say that this application system is still foreign to us as new students, so from that we must try to understand and learn how to use this application system and also in doing the task, we must try to be thorough and not hasty in doing the task so that there are no mistakes.

So, this is my journal in this week.

Hi! At this interpretive reading course meeting, we streamlined the MID Project - Making your Interpretative Readings Come Alive. Where we reviewed two books that we had previously listed in the Whatsapp group. The books I reviewed are The Things You Can See Only When You Slow Down by Haemin Sunim and Say What You Mean: A Mindful Approach to Nonviolent Communication by Oren Jay Sofer. For Making your Interpretative Readings Come Alive, there are steps that must be considered as well as the rules of interpretative reading. Listening Course #4

Hi!! At this listening course meeting, we did not have a meeting. This is because last Thursday, to be precise March 11, 2021, was the Isra Mi'raj holiday. So we just filled out the absences according to the schedule and then did the assignments in Syam-ok. The task is also almost the same as the previous tasks, namely listening to the audio and then working on the available quizzes. On this blog, I am not only discussing listening lessons but also about my activities until I upload this blog. The next day because I didn't have a class schedule, and it happened to be a weekend, my friend invited me to go out for a walk. We went to one of the most famous tourist objects in my village, namely Mentirotiku, Batutumonga located in North Toraja. INTERPRETATIVE READING Course #3

Hi! At this meeting, we learned about Preview & predicting material. This is an important skill for a good reader. Preview occurs when we gather information about a book by examining the cover of the book. The purpose of this preview is to help us in predicting the contents of the book. In addition, previewing and predicting can make quite a significant difference. We can get an idea of what we are going to read, so we can process the information quickly. In this learning material, we are also directed to search for a book and then find out the contents of the book from its cover, and look for information about the title, author, and other important information. We also create podcasts with our podcast material derived from information from the books we read. We are also doing some exercises in Syam-ok on this material.
