Listening Course #2

Welcome back to my blog, on this blog as usual I will explain about my lecture activities.


My lecture activity this time is for the listening course, which begins by filling out the absences. After that, all students are required to join the meeting on the Google Meet application where the link has been provided on Syam-ok. At the meeting via google meet, we discussed the material at the meeting last week, the lecturer wanted us to ask questions, but no one asked. This is because the problems we experienced were almost the same as those experienced by other classes. Namely the use of capital letters when filling out the quiz. After discussing the material, the lecturer took our attendance then directed us to continue the learning process at Syam-ok.

 

In Syam-ok, as in the previous meeting there were quizzes given. The quiz is listening to and understanding the audio provided then answering the existing quiz. In this lesson, I had a hard time because the audio couldn't be played on my cellphone, then I tried to log in on the laptop, and finally the audio could be played. When filling the quiz we also have to listen to the audio very carefully, although not all of my answers are correct, at least I can understand what the audio is conveying little by little.

Hi! At this interpretive reading course meeting, we streamlined the MID Project - Making your Interpretative Readings Come Alive. Where we reviewed two books that we had previously listed in the Whatsapp group. The books I reviewed are The Things You Can See Only When You Slow Down by Haemin Sunim and Say What You Mean: A Mindful Approach to Nonviolent Communication by Oren Jay Sofer. For Making your Interpretative Readings Come Alive, there are steps that must be considered as well as the rules of interpretative reading. Listening Course #4

Hi!! At this listening course meeting, we did not have a meeting. This is because last Thursday, to be precise March 11, 2021, was the Isra Mi'raj holiday. So we just filled out the absences according to the schedule and then did the assignments in Syam-ok. The task is also almost the same as the previous tasks, namely listening to the audio and then working on the available quizzes. On this blog, I am not only discussing listening lessons but also about my activities until I upload this blog. The next day because I didn't have a class schedule, and it happened to be a weekend, my friend invited me to go out for a walk. We went to one of the most famous tourist objects in my village, namely Mentirotiku, Batutumonga located in North Toraja. INTERPRETATIVE READING Course #3

Hi! At this meeting, we learned about Preview & predicting material. This is an important skill for a good reader. Preview occurs when we gather information about a book by examining the cover of the book. The purpose of this preview is to help us in predicting the contents of the book. In addition, previewing and predicting can make quite a significant difference. We can get an idea of what we are going to read, so we can process the information quickly. In this learning material, we are also directed to search for a book and then find out the contents of the book from its cover, and look for information about the title, author, and other important information. We also create podcasts with our podcast material derived from information from the books we read. We are also doing some exercises in Syam-ok on this material.
