Listening Course

 Hello Readers!

In my writing at this time, I want to discuss one of the courses that I am currently studying. The course I would like to tell you is Listening for Academic Purposes. This listening course can practice pronunciation and expand vocabulary.

In the second meeting, in this listening course we did an assignment at SYAM-OK. Because I am used to it from semester 1, and all subjects are required to use the SYAM-OK system, now it is not too difficult to access. On today's listening assignment we were given a quiz based on existing audio. Before doing the assignment we are expected to post/fill in a forum with suggestions for this listening course. The suggestion that I give is also not related to the application system, because currently the SYAM-OK service is still in the process of being refined.

Today's lesson is also quite fun and a little challenging because you have to listen carefully and understand what the audio is saying.

Where we reviewed two books that we had previously listed in the Whatsapp group. Listening Course #4

Hi!! At this listening course meeting, we did not have a meeting. This is because last Thursday, to be precise March 11, 2021, was the Isra Mi'raj holiday. So we just filled out the absences according to the schedule and then did the assignments in Syam-ok. The task is also almost the same as the previous tasks, namely listening to the audio and then working on the available quizzes. On this blog, I am not only discussing listening lessons but also about my activities until I upload this blog. The next day because I didn't have a class schedule, and it happened to be a weekend, my friend invited me to go out for a walk. Hi! At this meeting, we learned about Preview & predicting material. This is an important skill for a good reader. Preview occurs when we gather information about a book by examining the cover of the book. The purpose of this preview is to help us in predicting the contents of the book. In addition, previewing and predicting can make quite a significant difference. We can get an idea of what we are going to read, so we can process the information quickly. In this learning material, we are also directed to search for a book and then find out the contents of the book from its cover, and look for information about the title, author, and other important information. We also create podcasts with our podcast material derived from information from the books we read. We are also doing some exercises in Syam-ok on this material.
