Listening Course #5

HI!!

In my previous article, it seems that I once explained what a listening course is. Listening courses are very important for us whether as students, lecturers or whatever. Listening plays an important role both in our teaching and learning process and in our daily life. In our teaching and learning process, with audio that continuously hears what is given, or explanations from the teacher / lecturer, we can understand and understand some vocabulary. And in everyday life, we can understand what the news is saying or understand what the music we hear and the movies / dramas we watch means. we also need to be able to know what people are saying to us. And to understand all that we have to deepen our skills in listening.

 

At the meeting to listen to the course this time, it was almost the same as before, namely filling in the attendance at Syam-ok, then joining Google Meet, through the syam-ok app. During the meeting yesterday we discussed several things, one of which was about certificates and also the blogs / journals that we wrote. We also discussed the importance of using capital letters in a sentence, including in the audio we heard. After the meeting, we then continued our learning session with the assignments in Syam-ok

Hi! At this interpretive reading course meeting, we streamlined the MID Project - Making your Interpretative Readings Come Alive. Where we reviewed two books that we had previously listed in the Whatsapp group. The books I reviewed are The Things You Can See Only When You Slow Down by Haemin Sunim and Say What You Mean: A Mindful Approach to Nonviolent Communication by Oren Jay Sofer. Listening Course #4

Hi!! At this listening course meeting, we did not have a meeting. This is because last Thursday, to be precise March 11, 2021, was the Isra Mi'raj holiday. So we just filled out the absences according to the schedule and then did the assignments in Syam-ok. The task is also almost the same as the previous tasks, namely listening to the audio and then working on the available quizzes. On this blog, I am not only discussing listening lessons but also about my activities until I upload this blog. The next day because I didn't have a class schedule, and it happened to be a weekend, my friend invited me to go out for a walk. We went to one of the most famous tourist objects in my village, namely Mentirotiku, Batutumonga located in North Toraja. Hi! At this meeting, we learned about Preview & predicting material. This is an important skill for a good reader. Preview occurs when we gather information about a book by examining the cover of the book. The purpose of this preview is to help us in predicting the contents of the book. In addition, previewing and predicting can make quite a significant difference. We can get an idea of what we are going to read, so we can process the information quickly. In this learning material, we are also directed to search for a book and then find out the contents of the book from its cover, and look for information about the title, author, and other important information. We also create podcasts with our podcast material derived from information from the books we read. We are also doing some exercises in Syam-ok on this material.
