Listening Course #8

Hi!! 

For this week's listening meeting, we did a virtual learning using Google Meet, through the link provided on Syam-ok. During the learning process, we discussed last week's material again. Namely about Similar sounds, related words, homonyms, same sound / same spelling but different meaning, suggestion, offers, request. Besides that, miss also discussed about our attendance list, then blog.

During the learning process, we experienced obstacles, one of which was a technical error when we held a virtual meeting, either because the network was not good at that time, or indeed the Google Meet application was down. But miss still tries to do many ways so that our learning continues. While discussing the quiz last week, my cellphone suddenly turned off due to lowbat, and at that time the lights went out, so I couldn't continue learning through virtual meetings. So when the signs lit up, I continued learning by doing the quizzes in Syam-ok.

This week's material is almost the same as last week. Namely about Question and Response. Where we will hear questions and three possible responses. We have to choose the answer that comes closest to the answer to the question then fill in the appropriate oval on the answer sheet.

Hi! At this interpretive reading course meeting, we streamlined the MID Project - Making your Interpretative Readings Come Alive. Where we reviewed two books that we had previously listed in the Whatsapp group. The books I reviewed are The Things You Can See Only When You Slow Down by Haemin Sunim and Say What You Mean: A Mindful Approach to Nonviolent Communication by Oren Jay Sofer. For Making your Interpretative Readings Come Alive, there are steps that must be considered as well as the rules of interpretative reading. Listening Course #4

Hi!! At this listening course meeting, we did not have a meeting. This is because last Thursday, to be precise March 11, 2021, was the Isra Mi'raj holiday. So we just filled out the absences according to the schedule and then did the assignments in Syam-ok. The task is also almost the same as the previous tasks, namely listening to the audio and then working on the available quizzes. On this blog, I am not only discussing listening lessons but also about my activities until I upload this blog. The next day because I didn't have a class schedule, and it happened to be a weekend, my friend invited me to go out for a walk. We went to one of the most famous tourist objects in my village, namely Mentirotiku, Batutumonga located in North Toraja. INTERPRETATIVE READING Course #3

Hi! At this meeting, we learned about Preview & predicting material. This is an important skill for a good reader. Preview occurs when we gather information about a book by examining the cover of the book. The purpose of this preview is to help us in predicting the contents of the book. In addition, previewing and predicting can make quite a significant difference. We can get an idea of what we are going to read, so we can process the information quickly. In this learning material, we are also directed to search for a book and then find out the contents of the book from its cover, and look for information about the title, author, and other important information. We also create podcasts with our podcast material derived from information from the books we read. We are also doing some exercises in Syam-ok on this material.
