Listening Course #11

At this listening meeting, we did a listening assignment that was uploaded in Syam-ok. The task is almost the same as the previous week, which is in the form of an audio which contains questions then three possible answers to be selected. for the task we are doing this time is the Formative Test. The shape is like the image that I put below


There are 2 formative tests that we do, namely formative tests 3 and empathy, there are 3 practice exams. This formative test aims to understand our understanding of listening skills. And also in my opinion, this formative test is an alarm to see to what extent we were during the lecture process.

Hi! At this interpretive reading course meeting, we streamlined the MID Project - Making your Interpretative Readings Come Alive. Where we reviewed two books that we had previously listed in the Whatsapp group. The books I reviewed are The Things You Can See Only When You Slow Down by Haemin Sunim and Say What You Mean: A Mindful Approach to Nonviolent Communication by Oren Jay Sofer. For Making your Interpretative Readings Come Alive, there are steps that must be considered as well as the rules of interpretative reading. Where the steps are starting by reading the material first about how to make your interpretive reading come alive based on the pdf that has been provided in Syam-ok. Listening Course #4

Hi!! At this listening course meeting, we did not have a meeting. This is because last Thursday, to be precise March 11, 2021, was the Isra Mi'raj holiday. So we just filled out the absences according to the schedule and then did the assignments in Syam-ok. The task is also almost the same as the previous tasks, namely listening to the audio and then working on the available quizzes. On this blog, I am not only discussing listening lessons but also about my activities until I upload this blog. The next day because I didn't have a class schedule, and it happened to be a weekend, my friend invited me to go out for a walk. We went to one of the most famous tourist objects in my village, namely Mentirotiku, Batutumonga located in North Toraja. Hi! At this meeting, we learned about Preview & predicting material. This is an important skill for a good reader. Preview occurs when we gather information about a book by examining the cover of the book. The purpose of this preview is to help us in predicting the contents of the book. In addition, previewing and predicting can make quite a significant difference. We can get an idea of what we are going to read, so we can process the information quickly. In this learning material, we are also directed to search for a book and then find out the contents of the book from its cover, and look for information about the title, author, and other important information. We also create podcasts with our podcast material derived from information from the books we read. We are also doing some exercises in Syam-ok on this material.
