INTERPRETATIVE READING Course #4

Hi!

In this meeting, we learn about Vocabulary Knowledge for Effective Reading, In this material we guess unknown vocabulary. And the best strategy for figuring out an unfamiliar word is to try to guess what it means. It also doesn't interfere with our reading, and we enjoy reading more because we don't have to stop reading often. Because when we try to guess the meaning of an unknown word, we can use the text around the word-context. Where one sentence may be enough to tell us the meaning of the word. Besides Vocabulary Knowledge for Effective Reading, Using grammar and Recognizing words is also another way that can help us guess the meaning and understand the author's ideas.
In addition, in this material we also learn about synonyms, summary words and referents in a longer essay. And in the material above we do activities in the form of exercises, usually we do activities in Syam-ok but this time the learning process is a little different, we use the OneNote application. This application is part of a suite of office applications that can be used to take notes. I think this application is quite interesting because it looks like a note and also this application can be accessed on ho, so it is easy to use it at any time.

Hi! At this interpretive reading course meeting, we streamlined the MID Project - Making your Interpretative Readings Come Alive. Where we reviewed two books that we had previously listed in the Whatsapp group. The books I reviewed are The Things You Can See Only When You Slow Down by Haemin Sunim and Say What You Mean: A Mindful Approach to Nonviolent Communication by Oren Jay Sofer. Listening Course #4

Hi!! At this listening course meeting, we did not have a meeting. This is because last Thursday, to be precise March 11, 2021, was the Isra Mi'raj holiday. So we just filled out the absences according to the schedule and then did the assignments in Syam-ok. The task is also almost the same as the previous tasks, namely listening to the audio and then working on the available quizzes. On this blog, I am not only discussing listening lessons but also about my activities until I upload this blog. Hi! At this meeting, we learned about Preview & predicting material. This is an important skill for a good reader. Preview occurs when we gather information about a book by examining the cover of the book. The purpose of this preview is to help us in predicting the contents of the book. In addition, previewing and predicting can make quite a significant difference. We can get an idea of what we are going to read, so we can process the information quickly. In this learning material, we are also directed to search for a book and then find out the contents of the book from its cover, and look for information about the title, author, and other important information. We also create podcasts with our podcast material derived from information from the books we read. We are also doing some exercises in Syam-ok on this material.
