INTERPRETATIVE READING Course #7

For the Interpretative Reading course meeting this time, it was not as usual. For this week, we postponed our Interpretative Reading course to Friday, for some reason. The meeting for this week we discussed the Main Idea. The main idea of ​​a paragraph is the author's idea about the topic. It is always a complete sentence that includes both the topic and the idea that the author wishes to express about the topic. The learning sessions are also almost the same as the previous weeks. We did a virtual meeting using Microsoft Teams.

During a virtual meeting, we discussed several things. Of course, it is related to the learning topic for this week, namely Main Idea. We also did a group division, and Miss Novi divided us into several rooms. In the room we were given an exercise on the Main Idea. Then, we are directed to Finding the main idea in the topic sentence, by reading paragraphs which exists. After being given about 10 minutes, we returned to the main room to discuss the answers from each group. After doing the virtual meeting, we also did the exercise in Syam-ok.

Listening Course #4

Hi!! At this listening course meeting, we did not have a meeting. This is because last Thursday, to be precise March 11, 2021, was the Isra Mi'raj holiday. So we just filled out the absences according to the schedule and then did the assignments in Syam-ok. The task is also almost the same as the previous tasks, namely listening to the audio and then working on the available quizzes. On this blog, I am not only discussing listening lessons but also about my activities until I upload this blog. Hi! At this meeting, we learned about Preview & predicting material. This is an important skill for a good reader. Preview occurs when we gather information about a book by examining the cover of the book. The purpose of this preview is to help us in predicting the contents of the book. In addition, previewing and predicting can make quite a significant difference. We can get an idea of what we are going to read, so we can process the information quickly. In this learning material, we are also directed to search for a book and then find out the contents of the book from its cover, and look for information about the title, author, and other important information. We also create podcasts with our podcast material derived from information from the books we read. We are also doing some exercises in Syam-ok on this material.
